Raz-Kids Subscription

I’m very excited to let you know that our class has a subscription to www.raz-kids.com now.  In your child’s zip bag you should find a sheet with a teacher username and your child’s password.  Please keep these in a safe spot and return the bottom of the form of you would like to be added to the parent access page as well.  I gave the student’s a quick demonstration today, so they should be familiar with how to log in.  You will need to provide them with their password which is on their sheet (hint:  it’s their number in class, but tell them to keep it a secret so no one steals their points).

You can access Raz Kids through the link below:

This image give a quick explanation of how to navigate the Raz Kids page.  The students should become more familiar with it over the next week by practicing at school as well:

Calendar Picture

This year our class will be doing a photo booth style ‘Movember’ photo for the school calendar.  We will be taking the photo on Wednesday, so we are hoping to have everyone in class that day!  We are asking if your child could bring in a ‘men’s style hat’ such as a fedora or page boy.  Don’t worry if you don’t have one.  We will also be making some props in class for this photo shoot, so everyone will have fun!

David Goss comes to GBP!

We are a very lucky group.  Last week our school had a wonderful visitor.  David Goss came to see us and he told lots of great stories.  The students were such great listeners.  They really enjoyed listening to Mr. Goss’s stories about his own childhood and the history of our area.  Here are a few pictures of the grade 2’s:
