Tomorrow we will be walking to the bowling alley as part of our grade 2 party. All students will need to have a pair of socks to wear if they are going to bowl.
Our annual School Fun Day is on Wednesday, June 22nd. We will be joining Inglewood for this day. Each class will be moving together as a team and we would like to identify them by colours. Our class is the Yellow Class. If students could dress in yellow on Wednesday, it would be greatly appreciated! They are welcome to have as much fun with this as they want to….hats, bandanas, lei’s, or anything they can think of to add to our ‘yellow’ theme!
If you have any questions, please contact me.
We are very close to the end of the school year. I feel very lucky to have had such a polite and considerate class this year. All of my students this year have been a pleasure to know and to teach. Many of our classmates will be going to Westfield next year to begin French Immersion and we will miss them. We will be having a class party on Thursday, June 23rd so that all of the grade 2 students can spend some time having fun and saying goodbye to each other.
If you would like to send in treats for the party, please remember that we are a peanut free classroom. We have 20 students in our class. We will have some time on our own to share treats and have a game and then the two classes will have some time to celebrate together.
On Friday, June 24th at 10:30am there will be a closing ceremony for grade 2 students. School is only a half day on Friday and the ceremony will end very close to the end of the day. If you would like to take your child with you after the ceremony, please send a quick note in the morning so that I can have their report card and any belongings ready right away!
Thank you for all of your support this year. It has been a wonderful year and I will be sad to say good bye as everyone moves on! My website will remain active, so all students can continue to practice and play games over the summer.
We are beginning to tidy up and sort out our classroom and are looking for any library or classroom books that may still be at home. Would you please have a look around the house for any books tonight and send them back to school this week?
Also, we are trying to finish our Dr. Seuss take home book project. When your child brings this home, could you please try to read the book and return it the next day?
Thanks so much!
